ISACA Digital Trust World Conference Europe – Dublin, Ireland
Last week, I attended the ISACA Conference Europe 2023: Digital Trust World in Dublin, Ireland, and this was a rewarding experience. It was an opportunity to expand my digital trust expertise and even network with world leaders in the industry.
The Digital Trust World conference brought together a global community of talented IT audit, privacy, governance, information security, compliance, cybersecurity, and risk professionals alongside IT thought leaders and industry experts all of whom have a stake in advancing digital trust. The conference was coupled with a lot of workshops where thought leaders shared industry trends and knowledge on emerging technologies and insights into how they are thriving in their respective roles.
The keynote was given by Rachel Bostman, Global Trust Expert at the opening of the conference who shared knowledge on why some innovations fail, and others succeed. She shared insights on why Trust is the key differentiator. “You can only get people – employees or customers – to use a new product or service if they’re willing to take a ‘trust leap’ – to take a risk to do something new or different“. Based on a decade of research and teaching with Fortune 500 companies and start-ups – Rachel Botsman shared principles of how you get teams to design for trust in ways that help new ideas succeed and be trustworthy. She also showed designers, entrepreneurs and leaders ways on how they can improve practices to consider the unintended consequences of new technologies.
All the world-class IT audit, governance, privacy, cybersecurity and emerging technology content was presented during each day of the conference. Attendees were equipped with the tools to become a digital trust champion.
This was also an opportunity for all attendee to earn up to 26.25 CPEs.
