Earlier today, I was honored to MC an ICT Breakfast Roundtable themed: Shaping the right skills for a data-driven decision-making Ecosystem organized by The African Advanced Level Telecommunications Institute (AFRALTI) at the Mövenpick Hotel & Residence, Nairobi
The breakfast featured keynote speakers from the #government sector on the following topics: Collaborative Innovation and #DataProtection and #panelists from the different sectors taking on discussions around Data-driven #innovation and #cyberresilience.
Panel discussions featured industry #specialists, thought #leaders, and #practitioners, who shared their experiences, perspectives, and insights on the key discussion topics which included the following:
1. The role of data sharing in fostering innovation and fostering collaborative partnerships among ICT stakeholders.
2. Leveraging data-driven decision-making in enhancing operational efficiency and achieving organizational goals in the ICT sector.
3. Best practices and measures to ensure cyber security in the era of data-driven collaboration and sharing.
4. Exploring emerging technologies and trends that positively impact data sharing, collaboration, and cybersecurity.
5. Policy and regulatory considerations for promoting responsible and secure data-sharing practices.
The audience was comprised of:
- Government representatives and policymakers involved in ICT regulation and policy development.
- ICT professionals and decision-makers from the public and private sectors.
- Researchers and academics specializing in data sharing, collaborative decision-making, and cyber security.
- Technology providers and industry leaders offering solutions in the ICT field.
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) working in the ICT sector
The main key takeaway was “COLLABORATION”.
It is also worth remembering that the government and private sector are cousins.
